We knock doors in our community because it is our conviction trough a study and meditation of the scriptures of the Holy Bible that this is one way to obey the command given to us by God in

Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen”

It is not the only way but a great way. When further reading we learn that the Disciples of Christ used this method as well in the first century,
Acts 20:20 “how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,”

Here is a sobering fact.  Almost 700,000 people die every day, nearly 30,000 die every hour, and approximately 500 die every minute.  That number is increasing every day.  Now understand the fact that only 33% of our world considers themselves to be Christians.  So today, 462 thousand people will die and be separated from God forever.  How many hear the gospel is up to those 33%. For years the church has been living in the sin of silence. How tragic!  That is why we have a fire for evangelism.  I, (we) must share the gospel because as it says in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 20:9 says, “His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.

Therefore we go door to door asking all in our city to consider Christ Jesus, we force no one to listen we just offer them the opportunity to study with us from their bible the word of God. If we are told no, we simply thank them for their time and move to the next door. We truly understand all must choose for themselves;

Joshua 24:15 “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.””

We do not tell anyone what to think, but we do try to cause them all to think about their relationship with God and so therefore we go house to house door to door and may God be pleased because of our efforts.
